What to Do Wednesday

Another beautiful sunny day is blooming in my front yard this morning as I sip my cinnamon laced vanilla bean coffee. Do you know that every morning when I come downstairs and discover that my wonderful husband has again started the coffee pot, I sigh with wonder and delight. It's such a simple thing but it's so thoughtful and that little act of service makes me fall in love with him a little bit more. Then I take my first sip and taste the subtle flavor of cinnamon that he sprinkled over the coffee grounds and I sigh with more wonder and delight. Simple, simple things. How I treasure them!!

Another beautiful sunny day and it's Wednesday. I have nothing planned for my day with my mom this week. I think we'll just see what unfolds. She does enjoy a drive and today would be a pretty day for one. She loves to see the water. Maybe a drive out to Birch Bay would be fun. We'll see! The important thing is that she gets out of the house for a few hours and has some interaction with others. Again, simple things. And I am learning more about treasuring these moments.

Another beautiful sunny day and I can hear my man upstairs in his office, rustling papers and making phone calls. I can FEEL the contentment flowing from him as he is back in his own world, doing things at his speed and at his discretion. I am thankful that he made this decision to return to self employment NOW while the demand is there. I am grateful that he didn't have to make a decision to leave something seemingly 'secure' for the complete unknown. That would have had me in despair-- despite all my talk of faith and trust!! :) God hot-wired my man for this and I am stating for the record that I will chose to have faith and trust that this is all going to work out for the good.
