| We met Bruce's brother Clint and his wife Jan at the Bellingham Airport and quickly hopped into their Cessna airplane to be jetted across the waters to the San Juan Islands. |

The plane ride is actually pretty short if you fly directly from airport to airport. Clint took a longer--scenic route out to the islands, circling Lopez and San Juan before coming into Eastsound on Orcas Island where he had rented a car for the afternoon. We drove into Eastsound and enjoyed a leisurely lunch at Rose Cafe. After lunch we drove through Moran State Park and up to Mt Constitution. Then it was back down the mountain and back onto the plane.
