Cemetery of Long Ago

There's just something about old cemeteries. Especially on a windy day when the sky is overcast and the grass is like dry sage. Things creek and groan as the wind hits making the whole place spooky yet intriguing.

We didn't plan this stop. Didn't know it was even there till we were practically on top of the old winding gravel uphill road...

overgrown and forlorn

and then in the middle of death, sadness and history we see life...

"Those little nimble musicians of the air, that warble forth their curious ditties, with which nature hath furnished them to the shame of art."
~Izaak Walton
