GREATER THINGS ARE STILL TO BE DONE

this evening was Deming Prayer night. It was just Bruce and I and we went up on the logging road above Deming and looked down over the valley as we have many times, crying out to God for His Power to reign down on this community.

It says in scripture that : if my people will humble themselves and pray, if they will seek my face, if they will turn from their wicked ways, I will forgive their sins and heal their land.... well, Lord we cried out... we continue to cry out for your people here in Deming and beyond... for Your Fresh Wind, to blow through this valley.

I've said this before.... we look at Deming... a high school on one side of town and a casino on the other and a church smack dab in the middle, and day cares and education centers around it; there is no question where our mission field is.

And, it humbles me... there is a reason Bruce and I live where we do. we believe there is still much to be done in this (itty bitty unincorporated) city... greater things are yet to come, greater things are still to be done here...

We meet every Tuesday night for prayer. Sometimes we walk the town, sometimes a trip to the mountain, sometimes just sitting in the church but it is all about prayer. We pray for the community, for people, the children, the school, for work, for health, for salvation, for the churches in this valley, and we pray for healing.
