A beautiful Saturday!

This day has a full list.

Bruce left this morning to Sumas to help at the Habitat site. He was not scheduled to work there today but his servant leaders heart would not allow him to stay home.  I was as frustrated as I was proud of him for deciding to go.      Circumstances......

He was asked to tag-team with Pastor Steve for the sermon message at tomorrow's worship in Deming. He was super surprised at being asked but again, his willing heart led him to agree. (He still needs to prepare for it so of course I hope he gets home at a reasonable time today or tomorrow will really be interesting!!) I am excited- and a little scared-- of his being asked to do this... because of what this might mean further down the road.  I think he is too.      Possibilities.....

We are leaving tomorrow after church for Tall Timber Ranch for the week. Packing!!!  it's the annual work n' worship time there. come for a few days or for the whole week and help get the camp ready for summer! We are taking the little trailer (burke's turque) which will be fun; having a little more privacy than a room in the cedar house. We are also taking Wendi and her kids and we are super happy about that! I love introducing people to TTR-- it is so beautiful and always a good experience.  Adventure....

Still trying to decide whether to take Toddy with us. He got in a nasty cat fight last week and came away with some battle scars. He is finished with the antibiotics and would be fine left home alone... fill the auto-feeders.... but i thought it might be fun to just take him along. Bought him a harness and leash so he could be outside and be safe (not run away scared) and we also recently purchased a large screen tent which we can set up in front of the trailer and have it serve as an additional room for the camper. Toddy could hang out in there as well. I am just not sure about the 4 hour car ride over for him. Well, I will make my final decision by tomorrow. But for today i have him trying out the halter and letting him get used to it.   Adjustments....

it's funny to watch because at first he kept walking backwards, like he thought he could get out of it. and then once he decided he could move forward, he started slinking, like the harness was dragging him down. he has plenty of freedom in it- mobility. but he thinks it's restricting him... because he feels it around his middle and he's not used to it.  makes me think about how we sometimes let things in life restrict us, when we are only restricted by our minds. there's a lesson in that.  Contemplate...

Yes, a full list... mentally, emotionally, physically....  good thing I have strong coffee....
