I am going through our mail, amazed at the outpouring of love and support from family and friends. In just a few short days after sending out our email inviting people to be a part of the mission trip thru funding, the response has been awesome! $10 here, $10 there, sometimes more... it all add's up and i have no trouble believing we will have the exact amount needed for our trip!
I also received confirmation that the Lord will provide for the extra things on my list... I have a short list -- just a few things we need to get before we depart.... new walking shoes, laptop carry case, electric converter for our laptop and other things.... well I found a laptop carrying case-- great shape!! at the goodwill for just $12. a friend has offered us the loan of her electric converter saving me the hassle and expense of shopping for one. another friend offered to purchase some needed toiletry supplies... another wanted to lend me a coat...
and still another friend pointed out the obvious-- that despite all the financial hardships we have been under for months, it is a definite that God wants us going to Macedonia, else the funds would not be coming thru.
Even the guest speaker at church last Sunday, had a word for us... his sermon was on the call to go to Macedonia in Acts 16... he had chosen this unaware of our planned mission there.
oh how He loves us! He delights in giving us good things!
