the day in the middle

He left on Sunday so that didn't count.

Monday was full of planned activities...
                     cleaning at my mom's place
                     soaking in the hot tub after
                     trip to the library
                     reading books in bed

Wednesday is full of planned activities...
                        Home visit for Mom with the Occupational Therapist
                        Errand running with Mom
                        Grocery shopping
                        and fixing a special dinner to welcome him home

But today...
                     today is the day in the middle of his absence.
                    a day where nothing specific was planned.
                    a day that is gray outside and in
 because his presence is sorely missed.

I can think of things to do...
                        more book reading.... in bed ;)
                        clean my own house (yawn)
                        color my hair (yah, maybe)
                        do some baking (since the house is cooler)
                        or some writing (since the house is quieter)

but until he comes home this is the day in the middle and I miss him...
