In the morning we finished the work on the game board (corn holes, pie holes, whatever you want to call them) and cleaned up.
Our project in the afternoon was staining boards that are going to be installed inside the main lodge on interior walls. Because it’s a Log building, the interior walls will have a log like look to them. Bruce sanded them and I stained.
It was warm today but we had shade and this outstanding view to inspire us. (We also got some iced lattes after lunch courtesy of the camp cook!!)
We finished this project just before dinner... and enjoyed another fine camp meal. (The food here is really outstanding.... I am gluten intolerant so was not able to partake of such delicacies such as home made donuts, bagels, cheesy buns, pesto rolls, french bread and the like, but the smells were heavenly and I have indulged in my time here before)
After dinner, with only very little oompf left, we decided we would go for a short hike. Short hike... but verrrry steep! Still, the view this offers at the top was worth every huff and puff to get there...
yes that is my foot dangling over the edge. exhilarating and somewhat terrifying at the same time! |
