sunshine streaming, pierces eyes
snuggling deeper under the quilt
if we linger there is no guilt
tangled sheets, tousled hair
still we manage debonair
sleepy eyes, hint of teasing
morning kisses, oh how pleasing
whiff of coffee, tantalizing
padding barefoot, hand out reaching
quiet house, a little chilly
back in bed, blissful tranquility
